“Holiday Giving Tree” Gift Program Returns to Brighten Season for Local Kids

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A long-running holiday program to benefit kids across the Ocean State has kicked off, and Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) is hoping it’ll lead to the biggest year yet. The Bank recently began its 26th annual Holiday Giving Tree program – an effort that collects gifts for underprivileged children served by local nonprofits. BankRI Finances $6.5M for Construction of PVD Apartment Complex

The Commercial Real Estate division of Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has provided $6.5 million to Washington Street Holdco, LLC for the construction of a four-story apartment complex in Providence. The complex is being built at 473 Washington Street. The project broke ground in late spring and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

BankRI Turks Head Gallery: “Sumo Bunni: Paintings by Shari Weschler,” July 6 through September 6, 2023. The branch is located at One Turks Head Place in downtown Providence. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 5p.m. The branch is closed on weekends. There will be Gallery Night Providence receptions on two evenings, July 20 and August 17 from 4 to 6:30 pm.
