With an eye toward expanding and supporting local business development, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has grown its Commercial Banking Team. The bank recently hired Craig McKenzie as Senior Vice President, Franchise Banking.
A total of twenty-three Rhode Island nonprofits have received funding to support their work from Bank Rhode Island (BankRI). With a particular focus on programs that advance educational opportunities for at-risk populations, human services, and civic organizations improving our communities, the bank has awarded $89,885 in charitable grants.
Rhode Islanders in every corner of the state embraced this year’s Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) Holiday Giving Tree program, leading to an incredible 5,556 gifts donated to brighten the season for underprivileged children served by local nonprofits. It is the most presents ever collected by the program, which recognized its 25th year in 2022.

In its most recent support of the state’s nonprofit sector and the services they provide Rhode Islanders, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has awarded $95,100 in charitable grants. The funding was received by 36 organizations statewide and supports programs that address hunger and food insecurity, youth education and early childhood literacy, emergency needs, and more.
