In November 2018, William Lucey III joined BankRI’s Commercial Banking Group as a relationship manager focused on developing and managing new business relationships. Lucey will have dual offices – at the Bank’s headquarters in Providence and in its Middletown branch at 132 East Main Road. He is an accomplished senior business manager who spent more than 30 years with the Edward A. Sherman Publishing Co., which operated The Newport Daily News and other publications.
Bill and his wife Kate reside in Middletown. Bill graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Business Management and holds a Master’s Degree in Information System Science from Salve Regina University. In 2017, Salve awarded him an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in recognition of his work with nonprofit organizations.
Bill is currently serving as the treasurer of The Preservation Society of Newport County and NewportFilm. He is also a Governor of Newport Hospital.
