BankRI Begins Month-Long Food Drive at all 21 Branches Statewide
With the issue of hunger in Rhode Island on the rise in recent months as a result of the end of pandemic-related emergency benefits and increased costs, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) today began a month-long food drive at all 21 of its branches. The collection will continue through Friday, August 18.
Community raises more than $100,000 for Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of Rhode Island (JA) is celebrating the results of its signature fundraiser as its community came together to raise $102,260 in support of education programs for local youth.
BankRI Galleries Present Shari Weschler
BankRI Turks Head Gallery: “Sumo Bunni: Paintings by Shari Weschler,” July 6 through September 6, 2023. The branch is located at One Turks Head Place in downtown Providence. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 5p.m. The branch is closed on weekends. There will be Gallery Night Providence receptions on two evenings, July 20 and August 17 from 4 to 6:30 pm.

BankRI Pitman Street Gallery: “Still Lifes by John Riedel,” July 6 through September 6, 2023. The branch is located at 137 Pitman Street in Providence. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
RI Nonprofits Awarded $77K in Charitable Grants
Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) awarded grants to twenty-eight local nonprofits, investing $77,200 in programs to support Rhode Islanders and better our communities. The funded organizations span all corners of the state.

BankRI Hires Richard Bergeron as Sr. Financial Consultant

Richard brings more than two decades of experience as a financial advisor to BankRI and specializes in investment strategies, financial and retirement planning, and insurance products. Children’s Book Drive Sets New High Mark
The results of Bank Rhode Island’s (BankRI) recent Children’s Book Drive are in and the number is higher than any previous year. Thanks to an outpouring of generosity by the community, the effort led to 9,916 books to support Books Are Wings programs.
BankRI to Open Two new Branches by Summer 2023
Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) will be expanding its footprint with the opening of two new branches by the coming summer. The bank today announced a location in Newport in Bellevue Plaza, and another on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston. The two branches will bring BankRI’s statewide total to 22 once open.
BankRI Awards $93,000 in Grants to Rhode Island Nonprofits
In support of local nonprofits and the services they provide Rhode Islanders and the state’s communities, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has awarded $93,000 in grants to organizations. The grants have been received by a total of twenty-eight nonprofits, with a particular focus on supporting programs in the areas of education, human services, and the arts.
