128 – Bit Encryption
In order to provide you with maximum security during your Bank Rhode Island secure sessions, we require that you use a browser capable of 128-bit encryption. Encryption is the scrambling of information as it is transmitted over the Internet to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

Click on any of the website addresses below to be upgraded with 128-bit encryption. The upgrade will take approximately 15 minutes to 2 hours depending upon the speed of your modem.

This is a safer and more secure way of doing your banking over the Internet. We feel that the value of your security outweighs any inconvenience a delay may cause.

To download the latest 128-bit version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or the 128-bit encryption patch to your current version, you may go to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.asp

For America Online Users:

To download 128-bit encryption, go to Keyword: 128 browser. Follow the directions that appear on your screen. For further assistance call AOL’s Customer Service number at 1-800-827-6364.
